STOCKHOLM – A Winthrop man has been arrested for allegedly phoning a victim three times in two minutes with a message from a song by The Eagles, according to state police.
Police said each time, the messages contained the lyrics "Somebody's gonna hurt someone before the night is through" from the Eagles song, which alarmed the victim.
Gary C. Roberts, 72, of 214 Haack Rd., was charged at 4 p.m. Saturday with second degree aggravated harassment for sending the messages and sent to St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility in lieu of $250 bail after being arraigned by Norfolk Town Justice Donald Lustyik, police said.
Roberts is to face the charge in Town of Stockholm Court on March 21, police said.
