NORWOOD – A Winthrop man was arrested by St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies Tuesday allegedly for damaging a Norwood Fire Department rescue vehicle in March and driving it with a revoked license in August.
Justin P. Woodward, 20, of 154 Reagan Rd., Winthrop, was charged with misdemeanor counts of fourth-degree criminal mischief and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
According to a complaint filed by the Norwood Fire Department, on March 20, Woodward recklessly damaged a winch on one of the rescue vehicles while using it for personal use without department permission.
Deputies report Woodward was later discharged from the department after they discovered that on Aug. 20, he drove the rescue truck to make repairs to the winch while his driver’s license was revoked.
He was issued appearance tickets for Potsdam Town Court at a later date.
