CANTON -- SUNY Canton has been featured on a website citing the school as offering one of the most affordable online degrees in the nation.
OnlineU.org ranked SUNY Canton as the 16th for most affordable online law degrees, in criminal justice, and 17th in online finance degrees. Both majors have an annual tuition of $15,320.
As of August 2013, the majority of college seniors graduated with over $26,000 of student loan debt. This year, OnlineU.org released the first rankings of its kind: the 25 most affordable online degrees by subject.
OnlineU.org says they are trying to help prospective students get a college degree without the burden of massive debt, according to the companies website.
A total of 141 colleges on the lists offer an annual tuition of less than $10,000, and seven are less than $5,000 per year.
To be considered for inclusion in the 2014 Most Affordable U.S. Online College Rankings, online colleges need to currently be accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and offer fully online programs, so that students located anywhere in the country can pursue their degrees.
