St. Lawrence County is forecast to have decent, seasonable weather Saturday and Sunday, but the National Weather Service warns of increased fire hazard.

They say brisk north winds and low humidity on Saturday afternoon "will increase fire concerns."

Other than the fire risk, St. Lawrence County is in for a nice weekend, the NWS says.

Saturday and Sunday are both forecast to see temperatures in the low 50s, with a sunny Saturday and decreasing clouds on Sunday.

Saturday night will drop into the mid 30s.

Sunday night brings a 30 to 40 percent chance of rain to most areas of St. Lawrence County, with Potsdam and Star Lake looking at a 30 to 40 percent chance of rain then snow. Temperatures are forecast in the low to mid 30s.

Monday brings up to 70 percent chances of rain with temperatures in the high 40s. Nighttime temperatures are predicted to drop to the low 30s with 30 to 40 percent chances of more rain.

Saturday - Partly sunny, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 53. Northwest wind 11 to 13 mph.

Saturday night Clear, with a low around 26. North wind 5 to 7 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Sunday - Increasing clouds, with a high near 54. Light and variable wind becoming west 5 to 8 mph in the afternoon.

Sunday night - A chance of rain showers before 5am, then a chance of rain and snow showers. Cloudy, with a low around 36. Southwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 40%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

Monday - Showers likely. Cloudy, with a high near 49. Northeast wind 3 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
