CANTON — A Waddington woman was charged with driving while intoxicated on State Highway 310 Thursday after leaving the scene of a property-damage accident, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies.
Morgan M. Carmack, 36, was charged with first-offense DWI, refusal to take a preliminary breath test, speeding and leaving the scene of a property-damage accident, troopers said.
Deputies allegedly received a report of a vehicle that had struck a mailbox in Madrid. The driver had left the scene of the accident.
Deputies located the vehicle and its operator on SH 310, officers said.
Her blood-alcohol content (BAC) was .16 percent, deputies said.
She was cited and released.
Deputies were assisted on scene by Canton police.
