MASSENA -- A Waddington man has died from injuries he sustained while working at Sears in Massena.
Joshua N. Quintilliani, 35, was injured this week following an accident at Sears where he was pinned underneath racks that collapsed when he was organizing them. Police say he died Wednesday at Fletcher Allen Hospital, Burlington, Vt., from the injuries.
An autopsy is scheduled today, at Fletcher Allen Medical Center.
Police say he was organizing storage racks June 7 in the warehouse when they collapsed, pinning him underneath. The racks reportedly held plywood, glass and metal materials.
Massena Rescue took Quintilliani to Massena Memorial Hospital where he was stabilized and airlifted to Fletcher Allen HealthCare in Burlington.
On Tuesday, his sister Jess Pero posted that her brother had been “recooled” in order to save his organs for donation.
“Thank you for all of your prayers,” she posted. “He held on... but we all knew it was going to be a small chance of survival. He will be missed. I love you, Josh.”
