POTSDAM – Grant funding for a new skate park at Sandstoner Park is the topic of a meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, July 25 in the Civic Center Community Room.
The Village of Potsdam Office of Planning and Development has applied to the Tony Hawk Foundation for help to pay for planning and design of the park.
At the meeting, planning staff will present a basic plan, listen to ideas and answer questions.
The planners are also working with the village’s Recreation Department and the Department of Public Works to draft another grant application to the state Park Development and Planning Program for more funding for the park.
The Tony Hawk Foundation is named for the legendary skateboarder, skateboard entrepreneur, and promoter of the sport and skate parks.
