POTSDAM -- Two Potsdam residents were charged Thursday with multiple felonies in connection with the theft of a purse at a local bar March 17, according to Potsdam police.

Cyril P. Hebert, 33, was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny: value over $1,000 and fourth-degree grand larceny: credit card, both felonies, officers said.

Danielle S. Alguire, 33, was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property: value over $1,000 and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property: credit card, both felonies, officers said.

Police allege that Herbert took the purse from the bar and then later gave it to Alguire.

They were both reportedly charged at the Potsdam Police Department around 4:30 p.m.

Both were arraigned by Judge Pignone, officers said.

Hebert was reportedly released under the supervision of probation and Alguire released on her own recognizance.
