Meth lab components recovered at the scene of 4395 County Route 10 in DePeyster.

DEPEYSTER – Two men were reportedly charged with various drug possession charges after the St. Lawrence County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant early Saturday morning.

Shawn M. Cullen, 26, 4395 County Route 10, DePeyster, was charged with third-degree unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine, felony, two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of a hypodermic instrument, St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies said.

Dana L. Chub, 40, Syracuse, was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, one count of possession of a hypodermic instrument and unlawful possession of marijuana, officers said.

The task force allegedly executed a search warrant at 4395 County Route 10 around 3:30 a.m. and found multiple pre cursors including lab equipment to produce methamphetamine.

Detectives said that they also located numerous dry pots used to produce meth, over 50 used boxes of Sudafed, hundreds of hypodermic needles, a quanity of crack cocaine, methamphetamine and marijuana.

Cullen was arraigned by Judge Phillips in Morristown and held on $10,000 cash.

Chub was released on appearance tickets and was turned over to Ogdensburg City police on an outstanding warrant, officers said.

Deputies said the incident is not related to the meth lab that was shut down in Ogdensburg Jan. 23. by city police detectives and drug task force members.

The St. Lawrence County Drug Task force said it wants to remind citizens to remain vigilant in reporting suspicious activities involving the production of meth.

The investigation into the labs is continuing and other arrests are pending.
