MASSENA -- Two Massena residents were charged after a collision where a bicyclist hit the side of a car, the driver of which left the scene, according to village police.
Courtney E. Lashomb, 27, of Cook Street is charged with leaving the scene of a personal injury accident, police said.
Kenneth A. Courter, 42, of Walnut Street is charged with a local law violation for riding a bike on a sidewalk.
On Nov. 3 at 9:45 a.m., Lashomb was driving out of an alleyway on Main Street near the Town Hall. Courter was riding on the sidewalk and struck the side of her vehicle as she left the alley, and then Lashomb left the scene, police said.
The cyclist complained of knee pain but did not seek treatment, according to police.
Courter was charged at 9:45 a.m. Thursday and Lashomb was charged at 12:15 p.m. the same day, police said.
