CANTON – Two Massena men have been arrested in connection with the theft of a handgun from a Miner Street Road residence.
Zachary M. Pitts, 19, 224 Center St., and Jason M. Bullock, 34, 53 Pine St., were arrested in the St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s investigation into the theft, reported Feb. 20.
Bullock has been charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property; Pitts was charged with that and with fourth-degree grand larceny.
A statement from the sheriff’s office last week said the gun taken in the theft was a Ruger Mark II semi-automatic .22 caliber pistol.
Bullock was released on an appearance ticket for a later date, and Pitts was arraigned in Pierrepont Town Court before Judge Camp and was released to probation supervision, according to deputies.
