GOUVERNEUR – Two people were injured Sunday after two motorcycles crashed into an ATV on NYS Hwy. 58, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies.

Deputies said the accident occurred after Joey Durham, 28, of 6913 NYS Hwy. 58, Hammond, attempted to cross Route 58 on a back slope of a hill while operating his four-wheeler all terrain vehicle.

Roger Frisco, 58, of 5516 NYS Hwy. 58, Gouverneur, crested the hill on his motorcycle and struck the ATV, deputies said. He was followed by Sandra Frisco, 53, of the same address, who also crashed into the ATV on her motorcycle.

Durham was taken to E. J. Noble Hospital, Gouverneur, for treatment of leg injuries. He was cited for failure to yield the right of way entering a roadway and is to face the charge in Gouvenreur Town Court on July 21.

Roger Frisco received minor injures and refused treatment, deputies said. Sandra Frisco was not injured.
