CANTON – St. Lawrence County Sheriff's Deputies arrested two county jail inmates for allegedly assaulting a third inmate, giving him a large cut to the head.
Kevin A. Sterling, 31, Bronx, N.Y., and Kazz S. Snyder, 29, of the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility, were charged with felony counts of second-degree assault.
Deputies report that the two engaged in a physical fight with another inmate at the jail, and the inmate received a large laceration to the head after being pushed into a telephone post.
Both were arraigned in Canton Village Court and remanded back to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility with bail set at $500 cash or $1,000 bond.
They will return to village court at a later date.
