POTSDAM -- Potsdam TRIAD, a senior-citizens support organization, recently was awarded a grant from the New York State Department of Transportation for a bus that will provide transportation for senior citizens within the Town of Potsdam.
TRIAD says the bus would not duplicate services already available through the St. Lawrence County Transit Service, but would seek to supplement those services for senior citizens who are unable to drive themselves to medical appointments, grocery shopping, or entertainment.
TRIAD is developing its plans for operation of the vehicle, and is seeking donations from interested community members or organizations for operating funds.
For more information about TRIAD or to make a donation to support its work, contact Rebecca Sutcliffe at 261-5404.
