DEKALB -- A man and his child passenger were each taken to Canton-Potsdam Hospital following a tractor accident on Thursday night.
Ronnie Trombley, 28, of Canton was driving a Belarus tractor northwest on Orebed Road with a 6-year-old passenger, state troopers said.
Around 9:26 p.m., the tractor exited the southwest shoulder of the dirt road, went down an earthen embankment and overturned, according to state police.
Trombley was pinned underneath and the child was ejected. Gouverneur rescue personnel on scene used airbags to lift the tractor and get him out, troopers said.
Gouverneur Fire Chief Tom Conklin said DeKalb, Richville and Hermon fire and rescue initially responded and his department provided aid with their equipment.
They were both taken CPH where they were treated and released, according to police.
Troopers say they found a couple of Busch Light cans at the crash scene and Trombley submitted a blood sample while at the hospital.
He could face charges, pending the outcome of the investigation, state police said.
