Three St. Lawrence County residents jailed for possession of heroin, crack-cocaine, marijuana

NORTH ELBA – Three St. Lawrence County residents were jailed Tuesday evening on felony drug charges after state police say they discovered 500 bags of heroin, crack, marijuana and digital scales.

Troopers say they stopped a vehicle on State Route 86 shortly before 6 p.m. for making an unsafe lane change and found a passenger in the vehicle, Gerald L. Dissottle Jr., 23, Norwood, to be in possession of 500 bags of heroin.

Driver Jordan G. Thomas, 24, Potsdam and Allen J. Oshier, 31, Canton, as well as Dissottle were said to be in possession of .6 grams of crack-cocaine, 7.1 grams of marijuana and a digital scale, officers said.

Dissottle was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class B felony, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, false personation, second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of marijuana.

He was arraigned in the North Elba Town Court and sent to Essex County Jail on $30,000 bail or $60,000 bond.

Oshier and Thomas were each was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of marijuana, troopers said.

Thomas was additionally ticketed for moving from lane unsafely and obstructed license plate, police said.

Oshier and Thomas were reportedly arraigned in North Elba Town Court and sent to Essex County Jail on $5,000 bail or $10,000 bond.

All three individuals are scheduled to reappear at the North Elba Town Court Aug. 11 at 4 p.m.
