NORFOLK – Three Norfolk residents were provided emergency aid by the American Red Cross following a house fire Jan. 31 on State Highway 56.

The Red Cross provided financial assistance for food and clothing to two adults and one child affected by the fire. All three family members were also given blankets and Red Cross comfort kits containing basic personal care items.

In the coming days, Red Cross staff and volunteers will remain available to help the family as they navigate the road to recovery.

The Red Cross provides both short and long-term assistance to those affected by disasters.

The North Country Chapter is currently in need of additional volunteers to help provide disaster relief in St. Lawrence County. To learn more, visit redcross.org/volunteer or contact Matt Menard at 782-4410.
