Three Miss Massena child beauty pageant winners moving up to national competition

The contest is part of the “America’s Genuine Jewel” pageant, run by Chris and Jay LaFrance of Akwesasne.

Shalena Kemmison and Aubrianna Mayette of Massena and Vanessa Stanka of Norwood will square off against 60 to 70 other girls for the title, according to Miss Massena coordinator Carmella Mayette.

Kemmison was the 2015 Little Miss Massena winner.

[img_assist|nid=171768|title=Kemmison|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=150|height=201]Mayette has two years’ experience competing and has one more than 25 titles from around New York.

Stanka began competing last year and has won several events.

The girls will host a Father’s Day dance June 12 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Massena VFW. It will help offset their travel expenses and entry fees.

Tickets are $10 per couple and $5 for each additional person. The event will include food, music and raffles.[img_assist|nid=171769|title=Stanka|desc=|link=none|align=right|width=150|height=200]
