CANTON -- Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash in the Town of Canton Wednesday afternoon.

State police said a 2018 Toyota Corolla driven by John J. White, 70, of Rensselaer Falls, and a 2013 Chrysler driven by Mytha C. Smith, 45, Massena, collided along County Route 14 near East Street.

Smith was transported to Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center with what police described as minor contusions to both wrists and knees.

White and passenger Donna J. White “self-transported by private vehicle to Canton-Potsdam Hospital for medical evaluation,” troopers said.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene by Johnson Towing and Auto Repair, Canton.

Troopers say they determined that White failed to yield the right of way at their home's driveway when it was struck.

No issuance of tickets was reported.
