OGDENSBURG -- A teenager is facing two misdemeanor charges for allegedly starting a fire in the Ogdensburg Free Academy boys’ locker room on March 16.
Glenn Ivan Sanders Jr., 18, of 718 State St. is charged with second-degree reckless endangerment and fourth-degree criminal mischief.
Sanders was released with appearance tickets for Ogdensburg City Court on April 2.
Ogdensburg police and firefighters responded to the fire around 2:30 p.m. March 16.
They found a smoldering fire in a gym locker in the second-floor boys locker room, police said.
The fire was contained to the locker, which filled the room and hallways with smoke, police said.
Students and staff were relocated to the Golden Dome until it was safe to re-enter.
