Cayden M. Stevens, 16, was charged after an investigation into a threat that was made at Norwood Norfolk Central School Thursday, troopers said.
Stevens, a student at the school, was found to have left a violent, threatening hand-written message in a bathroom at the school.
The teen was charged with the felony count at the state police station, 29 Stearns St., at 4 p.m., troopers said.
He was released to a third party and is to appear in court at a later date, officers said.
