SUNY Potsdam has cancelled afternoon classes after 3 p.m. today, due to the inclement winter weather.
In addition, all SUNY Potsdam weekend classes, including those held at Jefferson Community College in Watertown, are also cancelled.
Bear Pride Night is still on this evening. That is a series of special events, games and contests in Maxcy Hall during the men’s and women’s basketball games against Geneseo tonight, according to Sports Information Director Dan Bronson.
All fans attending the games will be eligible to win prizes and participate in the “Sears Shootout,” sponsored by the Potsdam Sears. Selected shootout contestants will shoot for baskets for a chance to win a flat screen television at the men’s game.
Time Warner Sports’s plans to televise both games is still on the schedule for tonight.
The women’s game starts at 6 p.m., and the men’s game at 8.
A live, online webcast will also be available from SUNY Potsdam Athletics at http://www.potsdambears.com/showcase/.
