Surface high pressure will dominate the North Country`s weather for one more day today with sunny to partly sunny skies and temperatures back to seasonal normals in the mid to upper 70s, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
Dry conditions continue tonight as well before low pressure approaching from the Ohio Valley brings periods of showers to the region for Saturday afternoon through Sunday night, forecasters predict.
Highs today will be near 79 with light and variable winds, NWS says. An overnight low around 59 is expected.
Saturday will likely see showers, mainly after 5 p.m., with a high near 73, forecasters say. Showers are likely Saturday night with an overnight low around 61.
High pressure and drier conditions return next week, the service says.
