COLTON – Sunday Rock Legacy will hold auditions for “I Do! I Do! I Do! I Do!” which will hit the stage this summer.
Auditions will be held through May 1. Performances will take place at Colton-Pierrepont Central School. Evening performance dates are set for Thursday, July 21 and Friday, July 22 at 7 p.m.; the matinee will be held Sunday, July 24 at 2 p.m.
Elaine Kuracina will be the stage director and Barbara Burdick will be music director, both of whom are members of the Grasse River Players founded in 1974 which provides a variety of entertainment opportunities including summer musicals in Colton as part of the Sunday Rock Legacy Project.
I Do! I Do! I Do! I Do!, a musical based on “The Fourposter” by Jan de Hartog, was originally produced on Broadway by David Merrick and directed by Gower Champion, The play follows four couples through fifty years of marriage...the elation of romantic attraction; the suffering through an affair; the problems of growing children; the acceptance of a relationship. The performance space will be transformed into a bedroom.
