POTSDAM -- About 420 children from Potsdam, Colton-Pierrepont, Norwood-Norfolk, Parishville and Canton schools visited the Potsdam Public Museum over the last two weeks to learn about local history as part of the museum’s Holiday Program 2017.
Students learned about the history of Potsdam, the Clarkson Family, genealogy and why towns were started by waterfalls.
The students also learned about the world’s Christmas traditions in a poem written by Clement Moore in the early 1800s called "The Night Before Christmas!" and made ornaments from cupcake papers to take home.
