CANTON -- State police are investigating a late morning car-pedestrian accident in which a person walking along the shoulder of NYS Hwy. 11 was killed.
Police were called to the scene at approximately 11:31 a.m.
The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene, police said. The accident involved a single vehicle, police said.
The Troop B Collision Reconstruction Unit has been called to assist.
The name of the deceased has not yet been released pending notification of the family, police said.
The investigation is ongoing and information will be released as it is available, police said.
