Star Lake, Brier Hill, Massena, Cranberry Lake, Waddington residents among 10 charged with selling cocaine, heroin, pills

State troopers on Monday announced that they charged 10 people over an 11-day period for allegedly selling heroin, prescription opiates and cocaine in St. Lawrence County.

On Oct. 23, troopers charged Michael C. Brown, 27, of Star Lake with two counts each of third-degree criminal sale and possession of a controlled substance. He allegedly sold and possessed heroin. He was arraigned in St. Lawrence County Court and released on the drug charges, but remanded to the St. Lawrence County jail without bail on a probation violation, troopers said.

On October 26, Bobbi Jo McLean, 36, of Brier Hill was with two counts each of third-degree criminal sale and possession of a controlled substance. She allegedly sold and possessed heroin. She was arraigned by St. Lawrence County Judge Jerome Richards and remanded to the county jail, troopers said.

Wayne M. Storm, 44, of Massena was charged Oct. 26 with two counts each of third-degree criminal sale and possession of a controlled substance. He allegedly sold and possessed heroin. He is being held at the county jail due to county court not being in session, troopers said. Storm will be arraigned at future time to be determined by the court, according to troopers.

On Tuesday, Joel A. Pelo, 55, of Cranberry Lake was charged with two counts each of fourth-degree criminal sale of controlled substance and fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. He allegedly sold and possessed hydrocodone pills. He was arraigned in St. Lawrence County Court and remanded to the county jail without bail.

On Wednesday, Dana L. Chubb, 41, of Syracuse was charged with two counts each of third-degree criminal sale and possession of a controlled substance. He was remanded to the St. Lawrence County Jail pending arraignment, troopers said.

Kenneth R. Courter, 40, of Massena was charged Wednesday with one count each of fourth-degree criminal sale of controlled substance and fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. He allegedly sold and possessed oxycodone. He was remanded to the St. Lawrence County Jail pending arraignment, troopers said.

On Thursday, Amanda M. Diaz, 32, of Watertown was charged with one count each of third-degree criminal sale and possession of a controlled substance. She allegedly sold and possessed morphine pills. She was arraigned in St Lawrence County Court and released under probationary supervision.

Jennifer L. Oshier, 31, of Waddington was charged Friday with two counts each of third-degree criminal sale and possession of a controlled substance. She allegedly sold and possessed cocaine. She was arraigned by St. Lawrence County Judge Jerome Richards and released under probationary supervision.

On Friday, Larry C. Trimm, 28, of Massena was charged with two counts each of third-degree criminal sale and possession of a controlled substance. He allegedly sold and possessed oxycodone. He was arraigned in St Lawrence County Court and was released under probationary supervision.

Richard D. Laplant, 22, of Star Lake was charged Monday with two counts each of third-degree criminal sale and possession of a controlled substance. He allegedly sold and possessed heroin. He was remanded to the county jail pending arraignment, troopers said.

The St. Lawrence County District Attorney’s Office, the St. Lawrence County Drug Task Force, and the Ogdensburg, Gouverneur, Massena, and Watertown Police Departments assisted the state police Narcotics Enforcement Unit in these investigations and arrests, according to investigators.
