Young people interested in Cornell University’s engineering-focused high school summer programs can get help filling out the applications from the St. Lawrence Youth Bureau.

The office of Diversity Programs in Engineering at Cornell University is accepting applications for CURIE Academy and CATALYST Academy, to be held July 14-20.

Tuition and travel assistance funding is available for CATALYST Academy and for CURIE Academy.

The online application and supporting documents must be submitted to Cornell by Thursday, March 1.

The CURIE and CATALYST Academies are one-week summer residential programs for high school students who excel in math and science, enjoy solving problems, and want to learn more about careers in engineering. The target populations for the CURIE Academy are current sophomore and junior girls of all backgrounds. The target populations for the CATALYST Academy are current freshmen, sophomore, and junior girls and boys from backgrounds (African American, Native American, and Latino) severely underrepresented in the science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) disciplines.
