St. Lawrence County's unemployment rate in April was 6.5 percent, said the Department of Labor.
This compares to 6.6 percent in Jefferson County, and 6.4 percent in Franklin.
The overall, state-wide unemployment rate in April was 4.6 percent.
St. Lawrence County's rate was down slightly in April 2018 compared to April 2017 when the rate as calculated at 6.6 percent.
The number of employed people reported in St. Lawrence County in April was 40,500, compared to 41,300 during April last year.
The number of unemployed people in April 2018 was 2,800 compared to 2,900 in 2017.
