St. Lawrence County gained 100 non-farm jobs in June, up slightly from the same month last year, but below the average state gain over the same time period.
There were 38,400 non-farm jobs in the county in June and 38,300 in June 2017, an increase of .3 percent, according to the state Department of Labor.
DOL said the statewide gain for the same time period was 1.4 percent.
To our east, in Franklin County, 200 non-farm jobs were gained, an increase of 1.1 percent, DOL said. The department reports 19,100 non-farm jobs in that county last month and 18,900 in June 2017.
Jefferson County to the west saw 300 non-farm jobs added, a .7 percent gain, DOL said. They had 44,100 non-farm jobs last month and 43,800 in June 2017, according to the department.
