St. Lawrence County Democratic Committee Chair Mark Bellardini says the committee is endorsing St. Lawrence County Court Judge Jerry Richards, who announced yesterday that he is running for a second 10-year term.
“For over two decades, Judge Richards has tenaciously served the people of St. Lawrence County both in front of and behind the bench,” said Bellardini’s statement.
“He is well respected by all members of the legal community, which is clearly reflected in his courtroom. We are proud to support Judge Richards, the clear choice for County Court Judge.”
Richards served as St. Lawrence County District Attorney and as a trial attorney before his election as county judge.
No other candidates for judge have emerged so far.
