St. Lawrence County’s Community Development Program (CDP) office will be distributing $49,812 in emergency food and shelter funds awarded by a national board chaired by FEMA with representatives of several national charities.
A local board made up of representatives from the Salvation Army, United Way of Northern New York, Catholic Charities, the CDP office, the county Office of the Aging, and Renewal House will determine how the funds will be distributed among local service agency programs.
The county distributed Emergency Food and Shelter National Board funds to numerous agencies in the county last year. These agencies are held accountable for all funding.
Agencies interested in applying can contact the CDP office at 386-1102 or at One Commerce Lane, Canton prior to Monday, July 25.
