POTSDAM – St. Lawrence County Arts raised 75 percent of their fundraising goal for their photography studio crowdfunding campaign at AdirondackGives.org.
The online campaign closed on July 17.
Donations will be used to purchase studio lighting and other equipment to create a space in Potsdam for local artists to photograph their 2-D and 3-D artwork for professional development purposes.
When the studio is completed, any community member could register for a small group class to learn how to use the equipment, or reserve time to use the equipment independently.
The goal amount was $760, and $570 has been raised so far, leaving $190 remaining to reach their goal; funds received in excess of that amount will be used to purchase additional equipment and supplies for the studio.
Donors may send a check directly to “SLC Arts, PO Box 252, Potsdam NY 13676” with “Photography Studio” in the memo line of the check. SLC Arts is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization; all donations to the organization are tax-deductible.
