The St. Lawrence County Arts Council is extending the application deadline for its Public Arts Fellowship and Teaching Artists’ Fund grants. They are also offering a Community Arts grant.
Public Arts Fellowship grants are awarded to artists to support new work that engages the community through artists’ creative process. Teaching Artists’ Fund grants are awarded to artists who offer arts education projects in a K-12 school setting. Community Arts grants are awarded to municipalities and not-for-profit organizations to fund public arts experiences and foster creativity within their respective communities. These grant opportunities are funded by the New York State Council on the Arts, with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature.
The application deadlines for the Public Arts Fellowship and Teaching Artists’ Fund have been extended to August 15. The Community Arts deadline is October 1. Interested artists may visit the SLC Arts Council website at www.slcartscouncil.org and click "Grants" for guidelines and applications, or call 315-265-6860 for more information.
