St. Lawrence Chorus of Sweet Adelines earns second place honors at regional competition in Syracuse

Posted

The St. Lawrence Chorus of Sweet Adelines recently competed in its yearly regional competition in Syracuse, placing second in their small chorus division, which can include 15-30 singing members on stage.

This year the St. Lawrence Chorus had 20 singing members and a director on stage.

All world-wide annual competitions are now completed and the St. Lawrence Chorus placed 8th in the world in their small chorus division (out of 84 small choruses that competed this year worldwide).

This is quite a wonderful accomplishment for this small, awarding winning chorus. Last year they won first place in their division and most improved chorus overall.

The chorus is always looking for new members. Rehearsals are now held Tuesday evenings, 6:30-9 p.m. in Potsdam at the Church of Latter-day Saints, Castle Drive.
