Vicious Intent took top honors for best overall song at the St. Lawrence Centre’s Battle of the Bands recently.
MASSENA -- St. Lawrence Centre's Battle of the Bands Charity Fest raised more than $2,000 for Raquette Valley Habitat for Humanity.
Five bands from all over the North Country and headliner Tyrade performed at the event.
The winning band was Vicious Intent, from Massena, who took first place for best original song.
The best overall band title went to Into The Black, from Moira.
Newcomers Paparazzi Scandal, from Canton, received an honorable mention.
Bands were judged on planning and preparation, originality, audience interaction, performance quality and presentation.
Winning bands took home gift cards from Northern Music & Video and St. Lawrence Centre, a 3 - song demo mixing and mastering at North Country Public Radio, and a song debuted on 101.5 The Fox.
Other bands who participated in the event were Atomic Precipitation, From325, and Tyrade
