Sen. Betty Little, who represents southeast St. Lawrence County, is serving on a 12-member legislative screening committee interviewing 13 candidates vying to fill out the remainder of former Attorney General Eric Schneiderman’s term.
Schneiderman resigned abruptly amid numerous reports of physical assaults against women. Each of the attorney general candidates has the opportunity to publicly present their qualifications for the job at the public hearing taking place in Albany on May 15 and 16, according to Little's office.
Little, R-Queensbury represents the 45th Senate District, which includes communities on the eastern and southern edges of St. Lawrence County, from Lawrence to Piercefield. The district also covers Franklin, Clinton, Essex, Warren and Washington counties.
