CANTON - Jeffrey Rickey, vice president and dean of admissions and financial aid at Earlham College in Richmond, Ind., has been named vice president and dean of admissions and financial aid at St. Lawrence University.
President William L. Fox announced the appointment to campus Tuesday; Rickey will begin his new duties Aug. 1.
At Earlham, where he has been in his current position since 1998, Rickey has increased undergraduate applications and enrollment, including significant improvements in enrolling students who represent geographic, ethnic and international diversity.
Prior to joining the staff at Earlham, Rickey was dean of admissions at George Fox University, his undergraduate alma mater.
In addition, he has been active in a number of national higher education organizations; served as a member of the 2007-2008 National Commission on the Use of Standardized Testing in Undergraduate Admissions; and chaired the Finance Committee of the 11,000-member National Association for College Admission Counseling.
