Weather the next couple days in St. Lawrence County should be clear during the day with potentially rainy evenings, the National Weather Service says.
Today should see mostly sunny skies and temperatures around 76 and a few degrees cooler in the northern Adirondacks.
Canton, Potsdam, Gouverneur and Star Lake are facing a 20 percent chance of rain tonight, but mostly clear skies should come back Thursday, the forecast says. But temperatures will be a bit cooler, with highs predicted at 71 in Massena and Potsdam and 72 in Star Lake.
Thursday night will bring a bit of a chill. Temperatures are predicted to drop to the high 40s throughout the county.

Today - Mostly sunny, with a high near 76. West wind 6 to 9 mph.
Tonight - A 20 percent chance of showers before 2am. Partly cloudy, with a low around 53. West wind 3 to 7 mph.
Thursday - Mostly sunny, with a high near 71. Northwest wind 6 to 10 mph.
Thursday night - Mostly clear, with a low around 48. Northwest wind around 6 mph becoming calm in the evening.
Friday - Mostly sunny, with a high near 73. Calm wind.
Friday night - A 30 percent chance of showers after 9pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 59. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph after midnight.
Saturday - A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 80. South wind 8 to 10 mph.
Saturday night - Showers and thunderstorms likely. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 63. Southwest wind 6 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
Sunday - Showers and thunderstorms likely. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 74. Light northwest wind. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
