MORRISTOWN -- Volunteers from the North Country Chapter of the American Red Cross provided immediate emergency aid to seven people after a fire Thursday morning on Water Street.
A news release from Red Cross did not name the victims, or give a specific address.
"The Red Cross provided financial assistance for necessities such as food and clothing to four adults and three children, ages 10, 14 and 17. Volunteers also offered emotional support and comfort kits containing personal care items. In the coming days, Red Cross staff and volunteers will remain available to help those affected by the fire as they navigate the road to recovery," the prepared statement reads.
