AKWESASNE -- Seven people were injured at noon Wednesday in a two-vehicle accident on State Route 37 in Akwesasne, Massena rescuers said.
Rescuers said a sports utility vehicle and a pickup truck, both carrying passengers, collided on the highway.
The SUV was driven by a female and carried four minors. The pickup carried one driver and a passenger.
Rescuers said three people were transported to Cornwall Community Hospital by Akwesasne and Bombay rescuers and four others were transported to Massena Memorial Hospital by Massena Rescue Squad and Awkesasne rescuers.
While rescuers did not provide details on the crash, Massena Rescue Squad's second chief, Randy Montour, said the injuries were not life threatening.
Akwesasne police also responded to the scene.
