High pressure building into the Northeast this morning will provide the St. Lawrence Valley with tranquil weather conditions for the first half of the weekend with plentiful sunshine and highs in the low to mid 30s, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
The high today will be near 33 with increasing clouds throughout the day, NWS says. An overnight low around 26 is expected with a half inch of snow possible after 1 a.m.
Sunday will see partly sunny skies and a high near 37, the service says. Sunday night the low will be around 25.
A significant warming trend is expected Monday through Wednesday of next week, along with increasing chances for rain, forecasters say. Near record high temperatures are possible Tuesday into Wednesday, with highs well
into the 50s and possibly lower 60s.

A 20 percent chance of snow showers before 8am. Partly sunny, with a high near 37. West wind 7 to 14 mph.

Mostly cloudy, with a low around 25. Southwest wind 5 to 8 mph becoming southeast after midnight.
