Low pressure situated off the East Coast will pull away from the region today, perhaps bringing a few snow showers in the mountains in the North Country, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

Highs today will be around 36 with winds of 6 to 9 miles per hour, NWS says. An overnight low around 25 is expected.

An upper trough will swing across New York tomorrow and may produce scattered snow showers over the Adirondacks. The high will be around 35, forecasters say, with less than a half inch of snow expected.

Otherwise, surface high pressure will keep the weather dry over the next several days, the service says.

Temperatures will be near to slightly below normal through the first half of the weekend before moderating to above normal by the middle of next week with highs in the 40s and even 50s, forecasters say.
