CANTON – A Rensselaer Falls woman was rescued from her vehicle and transported to Canton-Potsdam hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries following a two-car collision on County Route 14 Tuesday, Aug. 15.
According to a press release from county sheriff’s office, Meagan E. Law, 46, of Ogdensburg was backing her 2017 Ram 1500 from a driveway, when it was struck by a 2016 Toyota headed southwest on County Route 14, operated by Donna J. White, 69, of Rensselaer Falls.
The sheriff’s department said the Toyota struck the rear passenger side of the truck on the passenger side of the car.
White’s car then left the roadway, overturned and came to rest on its roof.
Canton Rescue extracted White from the vehicle and transported her to the hospital. The sheriff’s department said White’s injuries are believed to be minor.
Law was ticketed for unsafe backing and is scheduled to appear in town court Sept. 5.
