CANTON -- Two Rensselaer Falls men have been charged with the theft of a pistol from a residence on the Todd Road earlier this month.
Justin R. Butler, 22, and Richard H. Martin III, 18, were both charged today in connection with the theft, according to the St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office.
Martin was charged with second degree burglary and fourth degree grand larceny. Butler was charged with fourth degree possession of stolen property, deputies said.
Martin was remanded to the county jail on a $3,000 cash bail by Lisbon Town Justice Fonda, according to deputies.
Butler was remanded to the county jail on a $1,500 cash bail by Canton Town Justice O’Horo.
Sheriff’s investigators have recovered the stolen weapon.
