OGDENSBURG -- The Frederic Remington Art Museum, 323 Washington Street, will debut a new “Make a Masterpiece” program at Kid’s Place in February.
“Make a Masterpiece” is an educational program for kids ages 5 and up.
The program will take place every first and third Tuesday from 3 to 5 p.m. until May.
Using children’s books the program will take a look at a famous artist and discover what types of materials and subject matter the artist enjoyed working with. Artists such as Vincent Van Gogh, Georgia O’Keeffe and Pablo Picasso will be covered.
A guided art activity based on the artist being studied will wrap up the program.
Lauren Gilmour, the museum’s educator and a state certified art instructor, will lead each class. Call Lauren at 393-2425 or lauren@fredericremington.org for more information.
