The chance for rain may be diminishing and things are looking better for the latter part of July Fourth weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
The chance for showers and thunderstorms remains under 30 percent through Saturday, and the temps will stay mostly in the 70s until a heat-up to 85 predicted for Saturday.
Sunday should be mostly sunny with a high around 80 and Independence Day may have a 30 percent chance of showers and a high of 80.
