A developing trough of low pressure will produce occasional rain showers with high elevation snow showers through tonight with brisk temperatures in the 40s today and 30s overnight in St. Lawrence County, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
A slow trend both in temps and weather conditions is expected by Tuesday, NWS says.
Showers and highs near 47 are expected today with west winds around 14 mph, the service says.
Rain showers are likely tonight before 4 a.m., then a chance of rain and snow showers. Little or no snow accumulation is expected. The overnight low is forecasted to be around 36.
Rain and snow showers are possible Monday morning, likely before 8 a.m., then a slight chance of rain showers early morning. The remainder of the day is expected to be cloudy, with a high near 52, and windy. Winds will be west at 15 to 17 mph and gusts as high as 29 mph, the service says.
Temps will continue to rise throughout the week with drier weather expected heading into next weekend. The forecast through next Saturday is as follows:

A chance of rain and snow showers before 8am, then a slight chance of rain showers between 8am and 10am. Cloudy, with a high near 52. West wind 15 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

Partly sunny, with a high near 58. West wind around 9 mph.
