MASSENA -- Massena-based state police say they arrested a man for possessing 23.5 grams of marijuana and a psilocybin mushroom at the port of entry Monday afternoon.
Jan Y. Bergeron, 37, Saint-Charles-Barromee, Quebec, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents reportedly inspected a 2005 Infinity G35 and discovered the drugs.
He was arraigned in Norfolk Town Court and sent to St. Lawrence County Jail on $1,000 bail or $1,500 bond.
Bergeron is to appear in Norfolk Town Court Aug. 27 at 9 a.m., officers said.
