BRASHER FALLS -- At a dinner held in the old Booth Building at Crapser Hall, the Quad Town Lions Club (Brasher, Stockholm, Lawrence and Hopkinton) recently presented two very important Robert J. Uplinger Awards to two very deserving people.
Recipients were Chad Bell of PrimaBella’s, for all he has done for the community, and Lion Faye Bordeleau, the Quad Town Lions Club Secretary of six years, who has done above and beyond the realms of her job.
A third award was also presented. Lion Gail Murtagh received the prestigious Melvin Jones, the highest award given to a Lion or a community member, for all her outstanding work as a Lion. She is a past president, a tail twister, and is now the District 20-W Secretary.
John Kelly, the current 20W District Governor, was on hand to present the awards Tuesday Night.
He gave the current Quad Town Lions Club president, Ann French, his own certificate of appreciation and his District 20W pin.
